^Then the FCC revealed that it might take broadcast licenses away from several Disney affiliates because Jimmy Kimmel (him again!) told a joke about the age gap between POTUS & Melania…the very First Amendment notwithstanding.
^Then the Department of Retribution decided to conclude a seven-month investigation this exact week into whether James Comey should be indicted (him again!) for threatening to kill POTUS because...well, you know.
On what planet would a failed assassination attempt result in a gilded ballroom, seashells as evidence for attempted murder, and censoring a late-night comedian for engaging in comedy? Only the one where a political leader’s sicko-phants wore ear patches to memorialize when his ear miraculously grew back?
Tucker Carlson will not be the last person to admit to feeling shame and guilt for their roles in the rise of a megalomaniacal Trump. After this week, the real question is not whether HE will survive any future attack on his life but whether WE will survive his relentless attempts to kill our Democracy in the remaining 900 days of his term.
